AI-Based Liquid Steel Control

SST Steel AI lifts liquid steel cleanliness to the next level and ensures precise adjustment of the steel chemistry in parallel with higher alloy yield. This is achieved by automatic computation of optimal and cost-efficient heat treatment parameters, alloys and additions with regard to the relevant steel chemistry requirements and cleanliness target values. The contained artificial intelligence and machine learning models perform the optimization under the strict consideration of maximizing the alloy yield.

Based on treatment parameters and steel chemistry for each individual heat improved cleanliness also serves as a prerequisite for high-quality downstream production. Thus, treatment time, alloy yield, productivity, and downstream quality are optimized in a perfect balance.

The core of the software is founded upon advanced machine learning models blended with extensive process and steelmaking expertise.
