SST Iron AI elevates the iron ore reduction process either in a conventional blast furnace or via direct reduction to the next level of control and ensures precise adjustment of the hot metal or iron tapping or discharging chemistry and temperature in parallel with higher yield and reduced consumptions. This is achieved by automatic computation of optimal and cost-efficient charging and process parameters with regard to the chemistry and temperature requirements. The underlying artificial intelligence and machine learning models perform the optimization under the strict consideration of maximizing the yield while keeping high iron quality.
Optimized iron properties for each individual tap or discharge based on input materials and process parameters serves as a prerequisite for an energy-efficient ironmaking process and stable input for steelmaking. Thus, treatment time, consumptions, yield, productivity, and iron quality are optimized in a perfect balance.
